Our beginner flamenco classes are created for anyone (with or without flamenco experience) looking for new opportunities to enjoy life dancing flamenco. You will learn the fundamentals of flamenco in a friendly and supportive environment while connecting with your body and soul.

We offer In-Person classes in Cambridge, Ma and also Virtual Flamenco Classes on Zoom to access from wherever you are. We also have Online Flamenco video-material to purchase for those who would like to work on their own, at their own rhythm.

LIVE- STREAMING (ZOOM) CLASSES

STAY CONNECTED, MOVING and HAPPI-ER dancing from HOME!

Our virtual personalized classes are happening on ZOOM. The groups are small so students can have personalized corrections from the teacher and practice individually in the comfort of their homes while staying part of the group. These classes are perfect for students, from any location, looking to take class with the teacher without leaving home. All our Zoom classes will be recorded and available to watch for 7 days after the class. Review the class material, get ready for the next class or make up a class if you missed it!

Our season is structured in a way that students can fully learn a piece of Choreography. Each class will provide them a section of that choreography to put all the pieces together by the end of the season. Students might want to join all the classes to learn all the pieces or just the ones they are more interested in.

FALL SCHEDULE (Sep 28th- Dec 22nd)

Flamenco Adults:

Tuesdays 6pm: Beginner 1 Technique & Choreo (Tangos de Triana): Perfect class for beginners with some or limited flamenco experience to learn the fundamentals of this art from. Students will learn a Tangos de Triana piece of choreography at a slower speed. Perfect class also for any beginner student looking to work slowly in their technique and learn the full Tientos-Tangos choreo.
Wednesday 6pm: Beginner 2 Technique & Choreo (Tientos). Perfect class for beginners with some previous flamenco experience (Students who have been attending class for at least 1 year is highly recommended but not mandatory). Learn a Tientos Choreography.
Sundays 10:30am : General Technique Class (Tientos-Tangos). Perfect class for all levels beginner students looking
Sundays 11:30am: Adv Beginner /Intermediate (Alegrías). This is a repertory class where we will go over past choreographies. This season we will focus on Alegrías. For beginner students, being knowledgeable of the choreography (or parts of this) is highly recommended. Advance Beginner/Intermediate students looking to learn a new piece of Alegrías are also welcome to join. The speed of this class will be faster than any other class. The intend of this class is to have a full repertory of material to perform.

Flamenco Kids

Sundays 9:30am: Flamenco Kids Class (Starting at age of 6)..

IN-PERSON FLAMENCO CLASSES

Connect with the art of Flamenco in “Real- Life” in Cambridge, MA.

Due to Covid-19 the number of in-person classes has been reduced and the capacity is limited. However, we are really excited to start offering one class a week on Fridays for students at any level to re-connect with this art form in the studio. All students must sign up using Mindbody prior to the class.

Fridays 6:00 to 7:00pm: General Technique Class (All Levels from beginner to advance students).

This class is for all levels flamenco students who has some experience looking to push their flamenco skills to the next level. We will take through flamenco technique, footwork, arms, posture, turns, and combination of different steps.

This class has limited capacity and registration is required 3 days prior to the class.

ONLINE VIDEO-MATERIAL

Different pieces of choreography will be offered through video- material for you to learn the piece at your own speed and rhythm. These videos are also a great resource for our regular students to practice the class material.

Enjoy our Youtube Program for Beginners and have an introduction to the art of flamenco from HOME. My First Flamenco Steps @HOME includes 20 videos, in English/Spanish for you to have an introduction to the art of Flamenco at HOME.

All our in-person classes are located at Dance Complex in Cambridge at 536 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA near to Central Square T station. There is street parking and private parking available.

Live- Streaming Online Classes
- Drop in, class passes and unlimited passes are available:
- One class a week: 10 Seasonal Pass (even if you miss a class, the seasonal pass is more convenience than drop ins. If you miss a class you can receive the video of that class).
- Two classes a week: 20 Seasonal Pass (even if you miss some classes, this seasonal pass is your best option. You can make up a class watching the video after the class).
- More than two classes a week: Monthly Unlimited pass. Attend all drop in live- streaming classes and have a full experience at the lowest price per class. Also enjoy discounts in our IN- Person Classes and workshops.
In- Person Classes
- Only Drop ins Are available and online registration few days prior to the class is required. Special Discount for monthly users available.
- Note: Since capacity is very limited, in-person cancelations need to happen 48 hours before the class or the class will be charged.

What can I expect from these flamenco classes?

In our classes your will learn the basics of this art form including arm and footwork technique, rhythm, style and choreography. You will also have the opportunity to dance with different flamenco props, including castanets, to have a broader understanding of flamenco and danza española (Spanish Dance) and eventually perform at some of our LS Flamenco Students showcases happening during the year.

Our classes are fun, relaxed and authentic, where you will have the opportunity to dance with yourself from you, for you and to you, while connecting with a wonderful group of people. Bring joy into your life dancing flamenco with us!

Our flamenco classes are created for anyone (from absolute beginners to more experienced students) who want to start or continue their flamenco journey in a friendly and supportive environment. Our absolute beginner students will have a broad understanding of this art form while having fun.
